1.6.2 Using the Snap for the 3D Cursor

By using the selection tools and our 3D Cursor, we can move objects in

the 3D Viewport with the Snap options of Blender. What is the Snap?

That is a collection of tools that will allow you to align and move certain

objects using certain rules.

For instance, you can get a selected object to move to the same location

as your 3D Cursor. You can also align the Cursor with an object location.

To use your Snap options in Blender, you will use either the Object →

Snap menu or the SHIFT+S keys. When you press the keys, the Snap

options appears (Figure 1.21).

At the Snap, you will find the following options:

Selection to Cursor: Move the selected object to the 3D Cursor
